They say that some love stories just happen and that is exactly what happened to us! We met online in 2016 as Katie was going to grad school here in San Diego. Our first date was at a Starbucks where we each bought our own drink ha. Eventually one date led to another and we started spending a lot of time up in the historic town of Julian, east of San Diego on weekends.Katie is a bit of a historical lover so anything old fashioned was the date of choice along with many many Disneyland trips (Tarl had never been before meeting Katie)​

On New Years Eve of December of 2019 we got engaged in front of the Hotel del Coronado. It was so gorgeous (and historic haha). We set the wedding for October 10, 2020 or the highly fancy 10.10.2020. Unfortunately, our wedding planning experience did not go to plan, soon after booking all our vendors and venue the world, and the wedding was canceled by Covid. Despite enormous disappointment we felt it would be best to try and at least have a small get together on our original date. So we had a 10 person wedding in the woods of Julian. It was gorgeous, special and intimate. We still will have a big day at some point, but our little ceremony was hard fought and perfect for us <3

 

After our wedding experience we really fell in love with the idea of capturing other people's unique love stories. That began a two year journey for us that had given us so much opportunity to meet new people and be a part of their special day in a way that is SO meaningful. We are so blessed to be together and get to experience a life that is beautiful and make beauty on a daily basis. Thanks for reading and we look forward to learning more about you soon!
